What we process
When you search, we process the DOI, ORCID iD, or author name you submit. We may also process standard technical information, such as your browser, device, IP address, and request time, to operate and protect the service.
How we use it
We use your search to find the right publication record and create a citation report. We use technical and usage information to keep the service reliable, prevent misuse, and understand how the utility is being used.
What reports show
Reports summarize activity from Scite Assistant and Scite MCP. They can show which papers were read, which AI tools requested them, and how activity changed over time. They do not show the identity of the person who asked a question or the text of a private request.
